Welcome as my guest to Danhostel Ribe in Ribe - Denmark’s oldest town and the heart of the Wadden Sea National Park

My name is Jens Philipsen - I am your host at the hostel. Danhostel Ribe is one of the most popular hostels in Denmark. I hope you will also enjoy your stay and the atmosphere both at Danhostel Ribe and in our lovely city as much as we do ourselves.

Ribe has so much to offer, and the hostel is located close by Ribe's most interesting historic, cultural and scenic highlights and offers a breathtaking view of Ribe's skyline.
There is only a 1 to 5 minute walk from Danhostel Ribe to town centre, Ribe Cathedral, Ribe Viking Museum, Ribe Art Museum, the  train- and bus station, the night watchman's round, the river Ribe Å, etc. 
From the hostel you find a footpath crossing the river to the town centre's pedestrian street. This footpath is not to be seen on Google Maps, but if you click the "Satellite" button on the Google map you can see this path: Location

Also one of Denmark's most remarkable sights, the natural phenomenon "Black Sun" occurring in spring and autumn months, when thousands of migration starlings daily dance above the marshes, is very often to be seen only a 10 minute walk from the hostel: Black Sun

Danhostel Ribe is the only environmentally certified accommodation in Ribe - it is also  the only environmentally certified accommodation in all the Wadden Sea National Park.
