The Family and Youth Hostel in Ribe offers an excellent range of rooms.  You may choose from rooms for one, two, three, or four persons. You may also opt for a family room for 5 people, if you travel with small children.

We admit that our rooms are simply furnished, with no TV and minibar - but they all have a private shower/toilet facilities, which only a few hotels in Ribe can offer. And we encourage our guests to mingle and meet other travellers in our spacious common areas. See Facilities

Bed and breakfast or self catering

A rich and tasty breakfast buffet is available each morning in the hostel's restaurant. We can't help boasting a little of it, since so many guests tell us it is simply first-class. Here you can take a look at our breakfast buffet
We serve half and full board for meetings, conferences, groups, and school classes.

If you prefer a self catering holiday, then Danhostel Ribe is also a good choice and you can still use all the facilities at the hostel.
The hostel has a self catering kitchen at your disposal. It can be used by families,  and backpackers - but not groups. See: Facilities

Arrival is normally between 4pm and 6pm but if necessary, another time can be arranged.
The room is available from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure.

Tourist Quality Labels for Accommodation and Restaurant

Danhostel Ribe Family and Youth Hostel has been awarded with these Quality Labels for tourist accommodation:

• The International Tourism Environment label: The Green Key
• The Accessibility Label
• The Cycle-label officially approved by the Danish Tourist Board: Cycling Denmark
• Elite-Smiley. All companies which sell food and drink products to consumers are  inspected after a smiley system decided by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries). Also our  restaurant  is inspected on a regular basis – typically two times a year.  A public food inspector checks unannounced, how well we are complying with the food regulations and awards with four different kinds of smileys. The best is of course a very happy smiley. If the inspector has not been unsatisfied with anything the last 4 times we were visited, and we have got 4 happy smileys, we are awarded with an elite smiley.
  We are doing very well and our elite-smiley has smiled to our guests and us for a long time.  Our Smiley-report is displayed on the internet and at the hostel.
