Danhostel Ribe Youth and Family Hostel offers an excellent range of rooms. You may choose from rooms for one, two, three, or four persons. You may also opt for a family room for 5 people, if you travel with small children.

Since the size and standard of Danhostel Ribe's rooms vary from A to A++ there is also a small difference in the price.

Solo guests and backpackers may want to consider the cheaper alternative of renting a bed in a room that is shared with other guests. In the very busy summer time it might not be possible to have a bed in our normal rooms; we will then offer a cheaper bed in a dormitory with shared bathroom.

Our rooms are spread out on three stories (no lift).

Beautiful view of both national park and medieval Ribe

Half of the hostel's 40 rooms have an incredibly beautiful view of old Ribe and the marshes of the Wadden Sea national park.

Ribe is Denmark's and Scandinavia’s oldest town, and it is also the best preserved medieval town.

Hostel room categories

Category A : Our smallest and cheapest double or twin rooms.
The rooms can be used for couples who want to lie close (-mattress is 140 cm and you have to use a big sheet).
You can also use the room as a twin room when the bed is used as a bunk bed.
The rooms have a small entrance room and private facilities.
These rooms have courtyard view.

Category A+ : Rooms for 1-5 persons.

2 persons can use the room as twin room or as a double room.
3 and 4 persons sleep in bunk beds. The lower beds can be used as double or twin beds.
You might find the rooms small, but they all have a small entrance room and private facilities. And the hostel has a lot of common facilities at your disposal.

Category A++ : Rooms for 1-5 persons.

Our biggest and best penthouse-rooms on our top floor with Ribe's best view.

2 persons sleep in a double bed or in twin beds. Extra bed for a third person.

More people in the room (older children) have to sleep on the loft, which they come to by climbing a ladder from the room.

These rooms all have national park and medieval town view.

All the hostel's bedrooms have en-suite facilities.

All the hostel's bedrooms have private shower/toilet facilities and a small entrance room.

You may bring your own towels and bed linen or, if you prefer, we have bed linen for rent. Please don't use sleeping bags.

All the beds have allergy-friendly pillows and comforters.

Our efficient cleaning personnel ensure that you receive a clean and pleasant room upon arrival. Prior to departure, we ask that you leave the room neat and tidy and put recycling items in the recycling box.

We maintain a smoke-free and pet-free environment.

Arrival and Departure

Your room is available from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure. Arrival is normally between 4pm and 6pm, but if necessary, another time can be arranged. The room key is used for the room and for the night doors. Before you go out, it is a good idea to first locate the night doors.
