Rooms at Danhostel Ribe Youth and Family Hostel.

Danhostel Ribe Youth and Family Hostel has 40 rooms spread out on three stories. All rooms have private shower/toilet facilities.

Half of the rooms have an incredibly beautiful view of the marshland and medieval Ribe: Denmark’s oldest town.

The rooms can be rented as family rooms by up to five persons. Solo guests and backpackers may want to consider the cheaper alternative of renting a bed in a room that is shared with other guests - a wonderful way to meet people.

Since it is important that all our rooms are clean, comfortable and allergy friendly, we maintain a smoke-free and pet-free environment. All the beds have allergy-friendly pillows and comforters. You may bring your own towels and bed linen or, if you prefer, we have bed linen for rent. Since hygiene is paramount, sleeping bags may not be used.

Our efficient cleaning personnel ensure that you receive a clean and pleasant room upon arrival. Prior to departure, we ask that you leave the room neat and tidy.

Arrival and Departure

The room is available from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure. Arrival is normally between 4pm and 6pm, but if necessary, another time can be arranged. The room key is used for the room and for the night doors. Before you go out, it is a good idea to first locate the night doors.

We are proud that Danhostel Ribe Family and Youth Hostel was one of the first in Denmark to receive the International Tourism Environment label: The Green Key, which means that we meet or exceed comprehensive environmental standards related to, among others, our cleaning products, trash recycling, energy-saving heat, water and electricity, air quality, weed prevention and organic foods.

Danhostel Ribe Youth and Family Hostel has received the Accessibility Label. Since several of the rooms are accessible only via stairs, we ask that you inform us at the time of reservation if you or a person in your travel group requires handicap access facilities.
